Veronica Felizardo

  • Therapist / Social Worker (MSW/RSW)

  • Registered in Ontario

Veronica Felizardo B.A, M.S.W., R.S.W. is a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist with experience in assessment, individual, couples counselling and family counselling with adults who have a desire to change their current circumstances to lead a fulfilled life. Veronica is currently completing her Doctorate in Counselling & Psychotherapy to enhance her skills to continue to bring the best service and evidence-based approaches to her clients. She’s a firm believer in the innate ability to overcome challenges by working with clients in the current place they find themselves in. Using a strengths-based approach, she fosters the inner warrior within each person to realize their full potential.

Veronica is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy but often takes a didactic approach to therapy, recognizing that change is very personal and can only be fostered and sustained by using methods that are individual to each person.

She has 20+ years of experience working with clients of varying needs, including anxiety, depression, domestic violence, symptoms of ADHD, anger management, self-esteem, guilt, shame, relationship challenges, transitions, leadership, issues inherent to first responders and other mental health needs.

Veronica has a particular passion towards fostering resiliency and empowerment so the effects of counselling are long-standing and sustainable. She provides support between sessions, often sending resources and offering accountability for change so you can stay on track. She has an innate ability to connect with people and help them realize their potential to lead a fulfilling life.

Veronica also offers clinical supervision to mental health professionals. The various regulatory bodies in Canada recommend and some mandate, regular supervision sessions with a Supervisor who can foster growth and self-reflection and assist in developing the skills and competence in the process of decision-making when faced with complex situations. Supervision is a critical piece in providing the best quality of care to clients.
